| GB (Gigabyte) | This is the way that your bandwidth is measured. Computer files have a size, although you can't actually 'see' them. The larger and more complicated a file is, the more information has to be stored about it, and the larger it's size will be. Eg. A movie contains a lot more information than picture, so it will have a larger file size. A gigabyte is the sum total of how much information been downloaded from your webspace by the surfers who have visited. 1 gigabyte equals roughly 1000 megabytes, or roughly 10,000 visits to an average-sized adult webpage. |
| Google | Google is a search engine - a vast, searchable collection of the world's webpages. Anyone can get just about any kind of webpage listed at Google.com. It's ease of use, speed, and ability to find things surfers really want to see, have made it the biggest search engine out there. Google is a HUGE and amazing source of traffic to new and experienced adult webmasters. |
| Gallery | a collection of pictures usually supplied by a sponsor program for their sites, or purchased from a content provider. Usually consisting of 15 - 20 pics, and sometimes small sample video clips, sometimes more or less depending on the rules of the places you submit the gallery too. It is essentially a way of offering a surfer a "taste" of the content that they will find if they were to sign up to the paysite that the gallery represents. Typically, along with the content, you'd also find banners, text links or other images to click on with the gallery maker's own referal code that will take the surfer to the paysite. The referal code will allow the paysite to track that surfer, ensuring that the gallery maker is paid for having refered the surfer. |
