Pay Site
A paysite is a shorter name for "a site that people pay to get into" - A.K.A a membership-based site. Paysites are sites that the surfer must pay for before he or she can get the movies and pics. It's a bit like renting a movie from a video shop. And - as movies have trailers - paysites have what are called 'tours'. The tour gives surfers a short preview of what they will see when they join the paysite. Paysites often offer a cheap trial - where the surfer will pay a few dollars for three or four days access to the site. The paysite owner won't make much from this initial fee - it's more of an attempt to get the surfer into the rebilling system. If the surfer does not cancel that membership within the given period of a few days, they'll be billed at the full price - and the paysite owner will start to make money. The three essential components to running a paysite are: Traffic The tour The content & Member support. Although new webmasters have started paysites and made a success of them, it's generally advised that they do not start off with a paysite. This is because paysites require a substantial investment for content as well as skills in general adult webmastering.
